Couples and Relationship Counselling
How can Counselling help?
You may feel unhappy or frustrated with certain aspects of your relationship but can’t seem to alter things no matter how hard you try to communicate.
Talking to a couples counsellor can help you to think about issues in different ways and then begin to make changes that.
Meeting with an impartial professional can provide a safe place for couples and individuals to think and talk about their feelings without being judged.
Relationship counselling can help – whatever your sexual orientation, background, or marital status- whether you come alone or with a partner. Some people need to find a way through specific issues, others may want to improve an ongoing relationship.
Each counselling session is for a period of one hour. I provide a flexible service tailored to the specific needs of each couple and which is sensitive to their particular individual issues.
Problems that can be helped by counselling:
Counselling gives clients the opportunity to discuss and resolve problems that can cause conflict or unhappiness in their relationships such as:-
uncertainty about commitment
starting a family
separation and divorce
Relationship counselling is also suitable for couples considering separation or divorce. I offer support and understanding through this difficult process so that each partner can let go of some of the hurt and resentment and start to rebuild their lives.
I am committed to helping parents to explain their separation age approppriately to their children and support them to organise workable access and shared care arrangements.
